Hi, I’m Sam — founder of PawVectors. Two rescues at my feet, one Cricut Maker 3 on the desk, and a strong opinion that “best of” craft roundups all started to look the same.
Why PawVectors exists
I started buying SVG bundles years ago — for tote-bag projects for my dog rescue group, for wedding-favor sets for friends with pets, for the kind of thoughtful gifts that say “I see you and your animal as one unit.” After a while I noticed every craft-supply review online said the same thing: “This bundle is amazing!”. Nobody actually used the files before writing. Nobody flagged the bundle where 80 files were 14 color-variants of the same 6 designs. Nobody mentioned the licensing landmines.
So PawVectors became the blog I wanted to read: I buy the bundle, weed the smallest design, press it onto vinyl, and write what actually happened. I want our reviews to answer one question: “Would I print this on a tote for my best friend?”
How we test
- Every bundle is bought (not gifted by the vendor).
- At least one design from each set is test-cut on permanent vinyl with a Cricut Maker 3, fine-point blade.
- DXF compatibility is checked in Silhouette Studio for Cameo users.
- Layering quality is judged on a multi-color test piece — does the registration hold? Are the colors really separated, or did the vendor flatten them?
- License language is read carefully and flagged when it is ambiguous about POD or Etsy resale.
Who this site is for
Crafty pet parents. Cricut hobbyists with a rescue at home. Small Etsy sellers in the pet niche. People who have ever sworn at a bundle of SVG files at 9 PM the night before a craft fair.
A note on monetization
The links here are affiliate links — if you buy a bundle through one of them, PawVectors earns a small commission. The verdicts, the praise, the honest faults — none of those are influenced by commission rates. If a bundle disappoints us, we say so. See our Affiliate Disclosure for the full list of programs we participate in.
